Karan Johar on Thursday, October 21, shared the film’s trailer on social media where an arranged marriage between Sanya Malhotra and Abhimanyu Dassani’s characters is shown. The couple addresses their dreams, hopes, and insecurities and tries to make their marriage work as Abhimanyu gets a job in Bangalore while Sanya is stuck at home in Madurai.
The story of Meenakshi Sundareshwar shows the two struggle to make their long-distance relationship work and how they survive the distance.
Karan Johar sharing the trailer of the film on Instagram, wrote, “All ‘hearts’ on deck - it’s time to root for this power couple to make it through the distance! This Diwali, gather around to watch #MeenakshiSundareshwar coming to Netflix on November 5 (sic).”
