The university has given the freedom to conduct classes for different departments in mixed mode. Classes will be divided into small batch groups. From November 16, the third semester postgraduate students of the University of Calcutta can attend the classes in person.
Only 2nd batch students will be called and first semester students will not be called for offline classes yet. The classes will be conducted by the university by dividing it into small batches.
The meeting held on Tuesday was attended by CU Vice Chancellor Sonali Chakraborty and some other departmental heads. In this meeting, it was decided to reopen some classrooms of the university. The hostel will be reopened for third semester students.
The CU official said in the conversation in the meeting that during the offline classes, 4 students used to sit on a bench but now this cannot happen. Students will now be required to maintain physical distance. It is informed to the students that only 2 students can sit on 1 bench after the opening of classes. This is why departments are being divided into smaller groups.
