Finch review: An emotional ride with the robot

 

The Tom Hanks-starring AppleTV+ movie Finch prepares himself for an adventurous ride with a dog and a robot to weather the apocalypse. Tom Hanks as the protagonist Finch Weinberg plays like a pro; The bond that binds the three survivors together is the crux of the film.

 After a catastrophic event left the planet habitable to humans, Finch Weinberg (Tom Hanks) is among the few people of his kind to have survived on Earth with temperatures exceeding 150 degrees and lethally harmful radiation levels. Finch with his home in the St. Louis laboratory, with his adorable dog named Goodyear and a lunar rover named Davy.

Finch embarks on a project to build a droid in the midst of fear of his few days on Earth. To care for a dog, in the event of its death, Finch programs in such a way as to provide the droid Jeff with that knowledge.

 While Tom Hanks stars, though Jeff, the droid overtakes him in the film. A simple screenplay coupled with emotional content makes Finch a movie.
