'Pelli Sandadi', the classic, became a run-away hit when it was released in 1996. 'Pelli Sandadi's legendary director, K Raghavendra Rao, is the supervisor of 'Pelli SandaD'.
'Pelli SandaD' does not live up to its name and some filmmakers with the very title itself have the knack to mislead.
Vasishta (debutant Roshan Meka) a wannabe basketball champion is controlled by his father (Rao Ramesh) who is a control freak. Prakash Raj plays a feudal-minded moral police and his daughter Sahasra (debutante Sree Leela) falls in love with Vasishta.
The dialogue delivery by Vasishta seems forced and so out of sync with today’s reality. However Vasishta and Sahasra have acted very well including Sree Leela who dances really well. If any other popular star had featured in the song 'Bujjulu Bujjulu', it would have been one of the biggest chartbusters of the decade.
